GIGATRIKES little electric vehicles

I have been building little electric bikes and trikes for over ten years. Over this time the technology has evolved considerably with major innovations taking place as we speak. There are a number of drive systems that now exist
with long track records. Pretty much the only thing limiting electric bikes from becoming a major form of transportation in this soon to be oil starved world has been the batteries. Up to very recently we were using battery chemistries that are over 100 years old! (lead acid) . Well folks all this has now changed with the advent of the new Lipro4 chemistries . On these pages over the next couple of weeks I will detail one such solution using the Dewalt 36V tool packs, the results are truly impressive.
